  • Yeah 100% thats me. I do everything full on then lose interest. However, in a Few months I’m interested again. Its hard because then I have to store things in an organized way to come back to it later. But I just don’t do 1 thing. I may be really into gaming for a couple months and nothing else, but then soon I only want to work in the garage and dont even turn on my PC.

  • I mean, the world works this way even before late stage capitalism. You have to do things that bring value to others to survive, you can’t just do what you think is fun all the time.

If you happen to love building houses, youll be set for life. Thats a skill we will always need. Some people are born lucky this way.

If your idea of fun is fixing old consoles and CRT TVs, sorry to say, you won’t make a living on that. Or if you enjoy music, good luck making a real living doing it especially today.

Thats why the ideal society wouldn’t tie work money to hobbies. You could live decently as a musician and a part time teacher if we had ubi and affordable housing.

  • Over compression and blown out…sounds a lot like what they started doing to good audio 30 years ago!

I see a future like today in the audio world. We have those of us who actually know good sound and have a trained ear (note, not talking about snake oil audio bs. My system is under a grand and blows away many systems 5x its price because I dont waste money on idiotic shit like cables )Then there are those who prefer a sausage waveform and clipping. And they are the masses. The same will happen with video games.
