The answer is shower after. Every time. The shower is the reward for doing the physical work.
You sound like someone who doesn’t have adhd. At least not the typical types. Reward after a task generally doesn’t work for adhd. In fact that’s kind of the heart of the condition. It’s an impaired executive function.
But I hate the shower when I’m not in it.
But if I have to move, then it is work, so where is the reward for the reward? Who is going to dry me off, carry me to bed, feed me cake, and tell me I’m cute?
You might sweat or get dirty otherwise on the walk. So the obvious answer is to shower afterwards. And yes, that’s something I think about every time, just to come to the same conclusion. My GF on the other hand does it the other way around, because it makes her feel better on the walk. And because we’re both diagnosed, both are obviously right options.
Especially for those of us who sweat easily.
@LadyButterfly@piefed.blahaj.zone I’m not sure how to feel about this, I see a lot that normal people just don’t give a fuck until a problem is back around. If anything, I think we worry more about not acting.
