If you can’t think NO thoughts, set one calming thought in your head (numbers if you like them) and keep steering back to it when the intrusive worries are calling you.
Remember, in order to accomplish all the things successfully later, the most productive thing you can do right now is to keep your eyes shut, breathe as slowly and deeply as you can comfortably sustain, and rest your mind.
Like bread dough, your thoughts can become tough when over-kneaded, and the strands can break. Put the dough in a dark bowl and leave it alone for awhile and it will become malleable, and develop structural connections as the yeast grows.
You might find you see your problems with new insight after a rest. If not, at least you’ll have refreshed energy to attack them.
